A) 6-sided small Tiffany Shade

Position the brass filigree on the the glass (which is cut to the size of the brass filigree) and directly wrap it with copper foil together with the glass. Position the segments evenly and fix the top and bottom joints with a small amount of solder. Afterward solder the lines in- and outside as usual.

b) Filigree Imprint on Fused Irid Glass

Arrange the brass filigree segments directly on the kiln shelf and cover them with Thin Fire Paper. Place a piece of Bullseye Irid glass (3 mm) face down onto the paper and cover it with the same size and shape of Tekty clear glass, also 3 mm thickness. Fire it to a full fuse temperature, approx. 815°C. The texture of the brass filigree will get imprinted into the iridescent surface and create a delicate design of bas relief. The Thin Fire Paper makes sure that the filigree does not stick to the glass.

You can bend the fused textured glass in a subsequent firing if desired.
